As an NS4ed research assistant, Kirksey Croft contributes to Research & Development. Kirksey primarily creates and edits customized career cluster data, researches career-connected learning and its applications, and tests the P2C platform tools. She has also contributed to qualitative research projects connected to career awareness and integrating authentic career stories into curricula.
In the spring of 2021, Kirksey graduated from Maryville College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. This internship has encouraged her to pursue passions in analysis and research. As a result, Kirksey will attend law school starting in fall 2022. According to Kirksey, “As a lawyer, I will be conducting research surrounding various laws and contexts to reach a goal of advocacy. I feel as if this is very similar to aspects of my job here, in that I research to understand our platform and the contexts that surround the main goal of allowing students to have the proper resources to inform career choices.”
